Awesome Leeds indie-eletcro group Shut Your Eyes And You’ll Burst Into Flames today announced that they are splitting up

So we split up. We always said if one of us wanted to move on then that would be the end and unfortunately that time has come. Without the five of us in a room, hammering our influences together, picking over the smallest of details and arguing about genres it just wouldn’t be the same.

I think it is safe to say we are all gutted it didn’t work out. We never really got to grips with certain aspects of the music industry and in the end that stopped us from progressing as far as we would have liked.

Some good friends of ours have offered to release the last batch of songs we recorded – hopefully we’ll confirm the details of that soon. Also on the way will be a bunch of new projects and possibly a new band, again more on that later.

Thanks to everyone that listened, all the bands we played with, all the friends we made along the way – it’s been an amazing experience.

Take A Break

You may have noticed (though it’s more likely you haven’t; in fact, you’re probably not even reading this) that there haven’t been Weekend Mixes for the last couple of…weekends. I’m a little burnt out on mixes at the minute, so I’m gonna start putting them out the first weekend of every month, rather than every weekend.

Also, posts may be few and far between in the coming weeks due to upcoming exams (which means a lorra lorra revisin’). I’ll keep you posted.
