Send…More…Paramedics…

Okay, I’m cheating slightly. Here I present a mini-mix I made about a year ago, not a soundtrack, of zombie-related songs. I do have more soundtracks but…you’ll have to wait ’til next year, I guess. I’ve got this and another mix for he start of next week.

So, as I said before; all songs about zombies (and a couple from zombie films). Enjoy! (It may be a bit rough around the edges)

3. Goblin - Zombi/Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400

Ever Danced With The Devil In The Pale Moonlight?

Today on Horror-Movie Soundtrack FM, we have the music from a decidedly more subtle film than Dawn of the Dead. It’s the weird folk of The Wicker Man (note I don’t say the original Wicker Man, as I refuse to believe there is a remake), which my local awesome cinema had a screening of recently.

The songs, as I mentioned, are double-entendre laced folk affairs; composed, arranged and recorded by Paul Giovanni and Magnet. The actors from the film provide vocals, and they all tend to do a bang-up job.

Despite the sort-of upbeat, happy folksy Radio 2 exterior, listening to the lyrics carefully reveal a sinister side, which is kind of like the film, really. Then again, the sinister-ness isn’t quite so hidden when Christopher Lee starts prancing about in a dress…

1.Corn Rigs
2.The Landlords Daughter
3.Gently Johnny

Not at all like The Carpenters…

Continuing our (well, my) month of Halloween, today I present to you the main themes
from a couple of films by the legendary John Carpenter (he who used to be legendary for making good films, now more
legendary for making….less than good films).Only one of the songs is actually from a horror film, but both of them have the same
creepiness/pervading sense of dead that John Carpenter’s synth-tastic scores tend to have.

Expect another full-length album later in the week!

John Carpenter - Assault On Precinct 13 (Main title)
John Carpenter - Halloween (Main title)
